JUNE 20, 2014 MUNISING, MI.

Munising, Michigan, nice place.  Had a cinnamon roll at the NAVIGATOR restaurant until tour started.  Rainy day!!  Took the PICTURED ROCKS TOUR  and well worth it!!!  Beautiful  creation our God made.

These stripes are natural due to minerals.  This pic does not do it justice.

This is called Lovers Leap.
Looking down the row, this looks like a line of battleships.
Frozen ice and snow in some of the cave areas.

An old lighthouse where a man, his wife and children lived here and operated the lighthouse for 40 yrs. until
closing.  The neighbors on this island have kept it up and replaced lumber.  The island is Grand Isle.

That afternoon we took the SHIPWRECK TOUR/GLASSBOTTOM BOAT.

We went to 3 shipwreck sites.  One was from the 1700's made of white oak and made like a rectangle and why? noone knows.  Noone knows what it hauled, if anything, or why it sank.  Shape was probably one reason.

Very interesting and the narrator was very knowledgeable.  A must see if you ever go.
So, we returned to the NAVIGATOR  and I had .....more WHITEFISH!!!  Mike doesn't do fish. Very good and fresh.
