Yes, I said PARADISE!!!!!Who would have thought PARADISE was in Michigan??? Not me!! Drove to the Lower Falls today and set up camp. I thought we had it bad in Texas with the mosquitos. This place was swarming with them..... unbelieveable. SO NOT PARADISE!!! We were camped in the LOWER FALLS....as opposed to the UPPER FALLS!!!
With an exceptionally hard winter the mosquitos were the worst they've ever been.....this according to natives.
Our first outing was to Sault Ste. Marie!!
Had a great view of the city from the TOWER OF HISTORY.
This bridge goes to Canada which we did not do this time.

The power plant was opened in 1902 and used Italian Masons to build. The colums were made to resemble light houses. Beautiful building and veeerrrry long!!
Soo Locks. This was awesome. Our cruise boat went into the locks with water a t a height of 32ft. Front and rear gates were closed and we are lifted to 55 ft. by the flow of water....not machinary.
