MONTANA July 29, 2014

We have made our way across Montana and will be in Glacier area tomorrow!!

There's just something about a train out in this prarieland...love it!!   All the trains hauled coal.

Stayed here 2 nights in
Gerryowen, Montana.  Started dinner when we got there and a neighbor told us of Ribs for $10.  So, off we went to the patio area and had great ribs and visited with folks from Grapevine, among othes.

 Archeological finds.

 These markers were scattered over acres of land in 1876 after Custers Last Stand.  Below is the marker where Gen. Custers body was found with a bullet hole in one shoulder,his head and knife cut through one thigh, which was done by an Indian so he couldn't walk in his afterlife.
All the bodies from the  area were put in a large  grave under the monument on the hill.

 This area was rededicated in June, in Memorium of Custers last stand. 

 The trading post....tourist trap!!!

We had seen some beautiful pictures of Little Bighorn River Gorge so we drove 10 miles over the mountain to see it.  

 We found that to see the gorge, really needed a boat!!!!  The pics really don't do  it justice, but it was beautiful.

 Even saw this motor.....boat...coach......thingy!!!

COLORADO SPRINGS JULY 25, 2014 GRANDKIDS

Stopped in the Springs to see Travis, Sarah and the kiddos.  The kids spent one night.  We had hot dogs and hamburgers and S'mores first night.  FUN!!  Next day was Pancakes but not just any old pancakes.  Chocolate chip and blueberry and saussage on the side,.  mMMMMMmmmm.
Swimming!!!!!  Great park, Garden of the Gods CG.  We love it here and camped here last year.  Basghetti for supper and since it stormed, S'mores in the micro.  Oh my, how the marshmallows puff up !!!!!!

Then came in coach to eat lunch and rest.  Mike,  "Who wants to go puttputt??"  Oh no!!!  So we went to GLOWGOLF in a mall.  The little girls lasted all of 3 holes.  Mia was very tired but wouldn't admit it.  Had a melt down when we got back, fell asleep before dark on the couch and slept alll night.
Spaghetti supper and the 3 kids went home with Sarah, had something to do next day.  Sad to leave them.

Mia was ready to help Grammy cook this morning!!



Broke the eggs and stirred and cut up strawberries.














And of course, one last swim.  She had a ball.

Hard to say good bye when gmashay picked her up.
