TOLEDO, OHIO FAMILY TIME JULY 4, 2014

Arrived  in Toledo about a week ago to visit Mikes Mom, 88, and his brother and family.  We've had a wonderful time here with them.  Celebrated the 4th with them at Chucks house with a hamburger/hotdog cookout and fun card and board games.

This is Mikes Mom, Dolores and the brunette is Bevs mom, Dorothy.  These two have been long time friends and camping buddies from way back.

The day before, Mike and I went to Greenfield Village in Michigan.  It's like an amusement park without the rides, but full of history.  We learned about trains, planes and automobiles!!



























This is the old steam engine we rode around the park.

We visited the Wright Brothers Cycle Shop and saw the first flying machine built by the Wright Brothers.

Here are glass blowers and we watched as he sculpted a bowl.

Pottery was being painted.

We were chauffered in an original Model T with some narration about the car. These are all original and are kept in heated and air conditioned garages.  The speed is controlled by a lever on the steering column.


























We toured the Ford Home.

We enjoyed a presentation by the Wright brothers and their sister on the porch of their home.   And we also heard Thomas Edison speak of his inventions on the lawn of his laboratory.
