JUNE 15, 2014 VAN RIPER STATE PARK, MARQUETTE, MICHIGAN

Arrived here yesterday afternoon.  Passed several of these.  Didn;t find a place to rent them.

A deer had just come out on the shoulder here.  By the time I got the camera, he had ducked back to the woods!!

I kept seeing these spires of purple and pink flowers and made Mike stop so I could cut some.  He caught me !!

We arrived at Van Riper State Park and got settled. Nice and pretty secluded in the woods.  Cool and windy with a few mosquitoes. 

Mike grilled hamburgers outside...yum, yum.

 Then of course, we had to have a fire and you know what that means!!!!......SMORES!!
