May 14, 2016 MORE BANFF ADVENTURES

Drove the Icefields Parkway today from Lake Louise to Jasper but only went half way. We will do the other half when we get to Jasper next week. Saw many more sights like Bow lake and Bow glacier, Peyto lake, Waterfowl lakes, and the weeping wall.

While at Peyto Lake, walking a hike to the lake some in snow, I made a snow angel and an eagle flew over us!!

This lodge was built in the early 1900's by an explorer thru here. There were no Volcanoes here. Mts. formed by tectonic plates bumping together from under water and coming up.

Bow Lake was still frozen!!!!  Though, melting.  Bow refers to Willows and reeds used to make bows by the Kootnay , Blackfoot and other Indians in the area.

This is a gorgeous place. Water color formed from FLOUR from rocks rubbing together and sun reflections.

Bridal Veil Falls

Goats came down the Mt. to the road and stopped traffic!!
