We took a whale and puffin watch cruise today. Saw lots of puffins on a lighthouse island. We traveled about 50 miles out into the ocean and actually ended up in Canada. After about 2.5 hours we were 15 minutes from our destination when one of the engines caught fire. It was put out quickly but we had to turn around and go back to Bar Harbor on one engine. So..............no whale sightings. We did get a full refund and a voucher for another cruise that was good for 2 years. We decided to drown our sorrows with food and drinks.
