CAPE COD 4-30-2018 PROVINCETOWN, MASS

Drove to Cape Cod.  Huge sand dunes. Like driving in White Sands with trees!!  Checked in to ATLANTIC  OAKS campgrd. 2 days before it officially opened.  We are just early for everything!!
Drove to Provincetown which is where the Mayflower first landed.  They had to move on as the soil was too sandy for farming.  Before we left we had homemade ice cream at Lewis Brothers ice cream.  The store is part of an old general store their father ran years ago.  All but their store was split up and rented out.




































Highland Lighthouse

 had to be moved back 450 ft due to erosion.

 Monument erected to the pilgrims from the Mayflower.
