Drove to Durango with the Eatons to catch the buss to Silverton. Waiting in line to pick up tickets we saw Barb and Jerry Persinger from our church in Livingston.
Beautiful bus ride , narrated, on the Million $ Hiwy built in 1880-1882, Mountains of redstone granite. The population of Elk in the US is here at 323,000 herd. Ponderosa Pine and Gamble Oaks. Walked the city and lunched at THREE PITT'S "AGAIN" seen on food network. The guys went to GOLDEN BLOCK BREWERY. Blair Street, for the miners in remote mining camps going to Silverton was ke going to Vegas. Gambling, drinking, and fighting were all in a night's work.
