All the sites were on a hill but they were all pretty much level. They parked 2 rigs front to back at the same pedestal so it was kind of tight when leaving.
This was looking from my sight over towards Calgary. Park had a heated pool and lots of kid stuff to do. BUT the wifi did not work so I did not have any internet service. My USB modems did not work in Canada either unless I paid for a 3 month upgrade plan that cost me another $50. NO THANKS.
Had another heavy rain storm last night with hail again. Temp got down to about 55 so I had to turn the heater on because my teeth were chattering since I had no other warm body in bed with me.
When I left this morning, I forgot to tip the coach to dump all the water off of the slides, so when I pulled in the drivers slide, all the water ran off the top of the slide onto the driver seat and floor. Good thing I was not sitting on it at the time. I have not done this in quite a few years - need to add this to my check list from now on.
It was only a 1 hour drive to Canmore and my campground for the next 10 days, Spring Creek RV Resort. This is a really nice place with a spectacular view of the mountains - only about 15 minutes to Banf.
I got here about 12:00 and got all set up. This time I put up my yard art and my hammock that Tom got me for fathers day. Everyone is jeoulous of me - it points right at the mountains, so I can lay on it and see the snow capped peaks.
This is what I see when laying on my hammock - I could get used to this.
We had a meet and greet tonight and the hosts gave us a rundown on the tours that we will be on. Sounds like I will be pretty busy. They gave us a potato when we checked in and we cooked it and brought it with us. They provided all the fixins for the potato. Tomorrow morning is kind of a free morning and then we take a bus trip out for dinner. I will let you know how that goes tomorrow.
