Miscellaneous picture of Banff National Park.
Another picture.
Bus picked us up at 8:30 again this morning and took us to the Valley of the Ten Peaks and Moraine Lake, formerly pictured on the back of the Canadian $20 bill with a backdrop of sharp peaks. To the north in this valley is Mount Temple, the highest mountain in the Bow Range and the third highest in Banff.
Picture looking across Moraine Lake at the snow covered peaks.
We then went to the world famous Lake Louise where we had a huge buffet lunch at Chateau Lake Louise.
This is looking across Lake Louise - this is what I always think of when I think of Banff.
Following lunch we went across the great divide into Yoho National Park and saw Kicking Horse Pass and Takakkaw Falls - one of the highest waterfalls in the world.
Then we drove on to the Natural Bridge which spans the Kicking Horse River.
We then finished up the day by visiting Emerald Lake. The water in this lake was a beautiful clear green color.
