HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA 7-4-17 CREEDE
Beautiful day!!! At 9:30 we drove downtown for the parade. Wonderful parade!! no marching bands or twirling girls but lots of fun. Watched alone, as Dan and Linda were elsewhere on the street.
Lasted about 1 and 1/2 hr.!! Waterguns on float and some parade goers were ready for them this year!! Smokey Bear, horses, RUN FOREST, RUN!!!, , candy, beads, firetrucks, the law, and snowballs!!!! Lunch at TOMMYKNOCKERS TAVERN on the patio. Mike and I walked to the vendors and visited the stores in town. We've been here once before. Love it!! Long day.....beat!!!
Fireworks from the park but didn't watch.
Next day....crafting. The 3 of us had made chimes from the seashells and beads I had brought. Marcie and I made lime green NKL bracelets for Kari. I appreciated the help. Those seedbeads are tiny!!!
Steve and Connie Pyles stayed 2 streets over for a few days. Nice new to them coach!!!We drove Batchelor Loop with them and had a ball. We had to start at the end and work our way back as the car would slip on the rocks going up the hill. At the top we toured the Lost Mine, Silver was mined as well as finding Amythest. Bought a fossil and some sharks teeth for the grands.
Sloppy Joes by Dan for Dinner. Marcie and I then went to Ukulae lesson!!! The church had a geological talk at the church that Mike, Dan and Steve went to.
