JULY 1, 2013 Yellowstone Natl. Forest Wyoming

Entered Yellowstone from East entrance. Saw lakes and buttes. In and out of the car...fishing bridge which you no longer fish from, Yellowstone Lake was beautiful, snow topped mountains. Saw an elk and finally....old faithful....boy were our dogs barkin'! About 2pm, sat on a log making sandwiches in our lap, waiting for the next BLOW. Thought we might spend 1 night before taking north loop.....Mike asked the desk for about 2hrs.....no room in the inn. We were soooo tired and sooo far from the RV...one last time, 5 pm, Mike goes in at Old Faithful Inn....and I was in car.....praying. He comes out waving a receipt.......Thank you, Jesus! Got a room. People make reservations a yr. ahead! He walked up just as they had a cancellation!! We had a nice dinner and watched the old geyser twice more til 10:30.

Picnic!!

Had taken a tour of this 1904 hotel earlier....has no air conditioning! Each room has a tabletop fan...we were lucky enough to have our own.....I mean to PAY for our own bath...that room wasn't cheap! I was loving that old hotel! OLD FAITHFUL INN

Made from the surrounding forest @ $140,000.00 in 1 year!!!!!!!! Opened July 1, 1904.
