BILOXI, MISS. FRI. MARCH 15, 2014

Visited the last home of  Jefferson Davis, first and only president of the Confederate States of America.  Beauvoir, beautiful view.  Restored after Katrina with period furniture and some furniture is original to the house.

This was all painted, even the walls, which were restored as close to origional as possible after damage.

 Our docent for the tour.
Tomb of the unknown soldier of the Confederacy.  All very interesting.

Was a beautiful day so we had a picnic at the beach.  Walked in the water, started reading our books.....BBBrrrrrrrrrr!! Too chilly!

That evening we went to this restaurant.  Very old, quaint and good!!

This tree was proclaimed to be 2000 yrs old by several specialists called in.

We then visited the BeauRivage, beautiful shore.
